"Prayerlessness in the life of a believer is a sin."  "To be much for God we need to be much with God."  Leonard Ravenhill

We need to spend daily time with the Lord in prayer and Bible study.  This is our spiritual life's blood.  This is where we grow, hear from God and change people's lives by our intercession for them.  Prayer and Bible study are necessities in a Christian's life if they want to grow and live a victorious life and do much for God's Kingdom.  Do you realize the power of your prayers in Jesus Name?  Don't you know that all things are possible with God?

Are you sold out for God and willing to invite the Holy Spirit into every area of your life so you can live above your circumstances and filled with faith and full confidence and trust in God?

I want to share this Burning Heart Challenge with you.  What would happen if you fully and totally committed every area of your life to live fully 100% for Jesus Christ every day for the rest of your life?  No more living for this world and the desires of the flesh, but living every day by God's Word and the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit!

Is your heart longing to answer the call to deeper passion for God, purity and living out your purpose for God?  I challenge you to make a new lifelong committment to the Lord.  The following Burning Heart Contract reflects your commitment to live the rest of your life sold out, set apart, and sent out for God.

I am committed to the principle that Christian discipleship is sustained solely by God alone through His Spirit; that the abiding life of John 15 is His way of sustaining me.  Therefore, I pledge myself to a disciplined devotional life in which I promise through prayer, Bible study and devotional reading to give God no less than one continuous hour per day.  I will be a disciplined prayer intercessor and will not give up, for I know I will reap a harvest if I continue to pray in faith.  It will come to pass in God's time.  (Gal 6:9-10; Psalm 1)

I am committed to the principle that Christian discipleship begins with Christian character.  Therefore, I pledge myself to holy living that by a life of self-denial and self-discipline, I may emulate those Christlike qualities of chastity, sexual purity, (no sex outside of a marriage covenant) and virtue which will magnify the Lord.  I will live a life full of the fruit of the Spirit-  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.  I will crucify my old sinful nature and live by the Spirit and the Word of God.  I pledge that everything I say and do will glorify the Lord.  I also pledge not to neglect the meeting together with other believers at church, home Bible studies and fellowship.  (Gal 5:22-23; Phil 1:20-21; Heb 10:25)

I am committed to the principle that discipleship is principally winning of the lost to Christ.  Therefore, I pledge myself to seek every possible opportunity to witness, and to witness at every possible opportunity, to the end that I may be responsible for bringing at least one to Christ every 12 months.  May I be a light in the darkness and make the most of every opportunity the Holy Spirit brings my way.  I will meet my neighbors and be a friend and servant to them that they may be won to Christ.  I will invite people to church and start spiritual conversations.  I will learn how to witness effectively by practicing and reading books on how to evangelize.  I will share all that Jesus Christ has done for me.  I will pray that God will make opportunities and give me the right words to say.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  (Matt 28:19; Acts 1:8)

I am committed to the principle that Christian discipleship demands nothing less than absolute consecration to Christ.  Therefore, I present my body a living sacrifice, utterly abandoned to God.  By this commitment, I will totally submit my own will to that of God's perfect will, that my life will be an expression of God and his love to all.  I offer myself in all sobriety to be expendable for Christ.  Not my will, but His be done in me and through me and for me and by me.  I will not live for the things of this world, money, possessions, nice things, clothes, food, travel, education..etc.  But I will store my treasures in heaven and live for God's kingdom and build God's kingdom and not my own.  For the things I see are temporary and doomed for destruction, but the treasure stored in heaven for me no one can take away.  (Rom 12:1-2; Phil 3:7-14; Mt 6:25-34)

I pledge to this Burning Heart Contract and will live it out every day for the rest of my life, so help me God.  In Jesus Name, so be it.

You would..
